The Community Food Growing Project helps groups and individuals in Bedfordshire to grow their own fruit and vegetables, using organic methods. They arrange for people to attend training courses and join in community gardening projects. They rear and breed Berkshire and Large Black pedigree rare breed pigs, both are listed as vulnerable by the RBST. They are passionate about local food, and also believe that animals should be reared with care and compassion. Their pigs are grown naturally and slowly which allows texture and flavour to develop. They often have weaners for sale for people who are keep to keep their own pig.
